Las Galeras is a small fishing village located at the northeastern tip of the Samana peninsula in the Dominican Republic. The splendor of nature awaits your discovery here. Long protected by its location, Las Galeras is a special destination, away from mass tourism. Here the white sand beaches are a bit wild : Playa Las Galeras, the Playita, Playa Rincon (in the beautiful bay of Rincon), Playa Madama, and Playa Colorado...During calving season, whales are not far away. With respect, it is possible to approach near to these magnificent creatures by boat. For lovers of fauna and flora, the Los Haitises National Park preserves living treasures and cultural artifacts of the Taino Indians, original inhabitants of the island. This park may also be explored by boat.

Our Quiet Grounds Include Rental Houses and also Bed and Breakfast

The name of the Loma-Cita is a play on words in Spanish. La Loma is a hill and “Cita” may mean “little,” or “appointment.” So, make a date to play in Las Galeras and stay on our little hill!

La Loma-Cita is composed of four charming homes set in the heart of a tropical garden of five thousand square meters with corral and horses to one side.
The main house overlooks a natural ravine, garden and the ocean beyond. The living and dining room is arranged in an “L" shape and offers an exceptional view of the Bay of Rincon from breakfast to dinner. The main bedroom and bath are on the same level. Guest rooms, independents from the main house has direct access to the garden. Set apart, the three small houses each have a living and dining room and kitchen set on a wonderful terrace overlooking nature. The casitas are quite comfortable and all of the homes have hot water, electricity, gas and private bathrooms. Renting one of our homes is a quite good alternative to hotel apartments.
To share these moments or to keep in touch with the world outside, a Wi-Fi zone is available to connect to the Internet.

You are welcome to join us at the host table for your meals, or if you prefer to sample foods available in the delicatessen you will discover the flavor and magic of the products of the surrounding community.

La Loma-Cita will be your starting point to enjoy all the riches of Las Galeras and the Samana Peninsula: whether by horseback, hiking, or by boat or diving. Horses are available for walks in the campo or for introduction to riding for novices.
